Shepherd signed his first record deal at sixteen with the release of his 1995 debut album, Ledbetter Heights, with famed hits Deja Voodoo, Born with a Broken Heart, and Shame, Shame, Shame. Shepherd has performed on stages across the world and many TV stages like The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, The Late Show with David Letterman, Jimmy Kimmel Live, and Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. Shepherd has also been featured in many well-known magazines such as Rolling Stone, Vanity Fair, and Maxim.

According to Shepherd's website, he has sold millions of albums worldwide, received five Grammy nominations, two Billboard Music Awards, as well as a pair of Orville H. Gibson awards, the Blues Foundation's Keeping The Blues Alive award, and two Blues Music awards. He now has seven #1 blues albums and a string of #1 mainstream rock singles. His current tour is The Traveler Tour, which you can see for yourself right here in Lake Charles, Louisiana.
