We are all still trying to recover from Hurricanes Laura and Delta, and so are our friends at Market Basket. After the storms, several of the Market Basket locations in Lake Charles really got messed up, which caused them to have to close to rebuild.

The locations that had to close in Lake Charles for awhile due to the storms include the Nelson Road, Lake Street at Country Club Road, and the Ryan Street at Alamo Street locations.

We don't know if you know this, but Market Basket stores in Southwest Louisiana have been serving our community since 1975. With that being said, the great folks at Market Basket want to thank us here in Southwest Louisiana for all the years of loyalty to their stores by giving back what they know best, which is groceries.

This Saturday, November 14 at their Lake Street Market Basket location, they will be giving out free groceries to Southwest Louisiana residents. Starting at 10:00am, they will be giving away free groceries to every car that comes through their parking lot until they run out.

This is an awesome gesture by our friends at Market Basket to do this for our community. If you need directions and are going to GPS it, the physical address is 4950 Lake Street Lake Charles, La 70605.

Share this with all your friends and family. We could all use a little relief as we continue to rebuild our beautiful area. Big thanks again to Market Basket for doing this for Southwest Louisiana residents.
