Do you have items lying around your house you need to get rid of?  Well gather those unwanted items together and get ready for the Lake Charles Residential Trash Bash coming up next weekend.

The City Of Lake Charles has teamed up with Team Green of Southwest Louisiana to hold a Residential Trash Bash next Saturday, April 13th.

Katie Harrington with the City Of Lake Charles says,

Residents may bring a variety of items for free disposal to this event including electronic devices, products containing mercury including fluorescent light bulbs, confidential paper shredding, all battery types, antifreeze, clothing, sofas, motor oil, and paint – labeled recyclable and reusable latex paint, oil, miscellaneous household trash, and recyclable items including paper, plastic, aluminum and cardboard.

She went on to say,

Items that will not be accepted include chemical household waste, tires, scrap iron, ammunition or explosives; asbestos materials; Freon items; lawn mowers; medical waste; medication; and propane tanks.
