Lake Charles, LA [KNGT-FM] - As we head into April, we are getting set to celebrate the Easter holiday in the first week of the month. In Louisiana, Good Friday is a holiday for most federal and State agencies, meaning they will observe the holiday and close their doors that day.

The city of Lake Charles has announced that it will observe the Good Friday holiday and will close its offices on Friday, April 3, 2026. City Hall and all other services, including the Department of Public Works, will also be closed in observance of Good Friday and will resume regular working hours on Monday, April 6, 2026.
