Doing laundry is one of those tasks that everyone seems to dread. It’s that never-ending cycle (literally) of washing, drying, folding, and repeating. And just when you think you’re done, someone throws a sock or a shirt back into the laundry basket! Laundry is like that uninvited guest who stays longer than expected. For me, it feels like my least favorite chore because it never ends.

If you're like me, I am pretty particular about your laundry detergent. I'm not sure why, but that's how I have always been. It is being reported that a popular laundry detergent brand in Texas is being recalled. We've got everything you need to know about it.

So what the heck happened? The detergent has been found to contain Pseudomonas species bacteria, which can pose a health risk to people with weakened immune systems. The bacteria can enter the body through the eyes or a break in the skin, potentially leading to infections that require medical treatment. People with healthy immune systems are generally not affected.

The recall affects residents and shoppers all across Texas. Reckitt, the company behind Woolite, has pulled the product from shelves because it may contain harmful bacteria. The bacteria, known as Pseudomonas species, are commonly found in soil and water. While most healthy people are not affected, individuals with weakened immune systems or medical devices could face serious infections if exposed.

Now, it doesn't appear to be affecting all of the Woolite products, but only Woolite Delicates detergent in 50-fluid-ounce bottles.

If you have a bottle of Woolite Delicates detergent, you should stop using it right away. Reckitt is offering a full refund for the recalled product. To find out how to get your refund, visit the company’s website or contact them directly.

This might not affect many Texas residents, but it is best to get the word out to those it might affect. If you do a lot of laundry, this recall might be a hassle, but safety comes first. Make sure to check your detergent bottles and spread the word to friends and family. Doing laundry may be never-ending, but staying safe is always the top priority!
