Take a shot and get a shot at a million dollars is the new promotion being rolled out in Louisiana by Governor Edwards. Residents of Louisiana can now throw their names in the hat to win cash, scholarships, and even $1 million. It seems like a long shot, but might be worth trying.

If you are a Louisiana resident and have received at least one of the various vaccination shots for COVID-19, you can be eligible for the prizes being given away. The state will be giving away four $100,000 cash prizes to 18 and older, nine $100,000 scholarships for ages 12-17, and a big $1 million prize for someone 18 and older.

The drawing period will begin July 14 over five weeks. The final drawing for the vaccine lottery will take place on August 4. If you have been vaccinated, you can sign up starting today at shotatamillion.com or you can call 877-356-1511.
