Louisiana Netflix Users Will See An Increase In Their Monthly Price, Here’s What You Should Know…
As the price of everything throughout the nation rises, so does the price of Netflix. In what feels like an annual trend, Netflix is soon going to be raising their prices AGAIN. Here are some things you should know before that time comes...
Per a letter release from the company back in October, Netflix notified customers that they would soon be raising the prices of some of their plans.
Currently, Netflix has 3 subscription plans available to customers at different prices: An option with ads, “Standard” and “Premium.” Some customers still have the “Basic” plan, but it’s not an option people can choose now. More expensive tiers allow customers to stream on more devices and add members in other households.
Recently Netflix has begun to crack down on how many devices have login credentials. Since the companies attempted to crack down on password sharing, Netflix has picked up more than 16 million subscribers through the first nine months of the year, already eclipsing the 8.9 million subscribers that it added all of last year. One can only assume that it's a product of the crackdown on password sharing.
How Much Will It Cost?
Per The Hill, The new price hike is hitting Netflix’s “Basic” and “Premium” tiers. Each option is now $2 more expensive than it used to be, $11.99 for “Basic” and $22.99 for “Premium.” The pricing of Netflix’s cheapest option, which includes ads, will remain at $6.99 and the “Standard” tier will stay at $15.49.
Per the release from Netflix, users can expect the price jump at some point in December. The question then becomes, "What's in it for me?" Netflix has said they are expecting to spend about $17 Billion on TV Series and New Films.
