The 2025 Grammy Award nominations came out over the weekend and Lake Charles and Southwest Louisiana boy Sean Ardoin has received another Grammy Award nomination. Ardoin was nominated in the category of Best Reginal Roots Music Album.

This is the fifth Grammy nomination for the Louisiana music Zydeco artist. His last nomination came back in 2023 for the album he did with the LSU Tiger band. Now Sean Ardoin is nominated again for his album 25 Back To My Roots which was released back in September of 2024.

His publicist sent out a press release about what the latest album is all about and why it's called 25 Back To My Roots. They said,

Renowned Kreole Rock and Soul artist, producer, and songwriter, Sean Ardoin, proudly announces the commemoration of his 25th year as a solo artist. Throughout a remarkable career spanning more than a quarter-century, Sean has captivated audiences worldwide with his soulful performances, earning four Grammy nominations for his exceptional contributions to the world of music.

They went on to say,

With 27 albums to his credit, Sean continues to push artistic boundaries and inspire generations of music lovers. Three of his albums have been honored with four prestigious Grammy nominations, solidifying his status as a trailblazer in the industry.

To commemorate this milestone, Sean has embarked on a year-long celebration, culminating with the release of “25 Back To My Roots” in September.

The 2025 Grammy Awards will be handed out on Sunday, February 2, 2025. It will be the 67th annual award show which will be televised live on CBS. Good luck to Sean Ardoin and we hope that his 5th nomination will turn into a big win that night.
