SEC Unveils LSU’s Three Annual Rivals Starting 2026
(KNGT-FM) - College Athletics seems to be changing by the day, and just recently, the SEC announced a big change to their scheduling format. Monday Morning, the Southeastern Conference released LSU's three annual opponents for the next few years.
Starting in 2026, the SEC will switch from an eight-game to a nine-game conference schedule. Each team will have three annual opponents they play every year, while the other six games will rotate so that every school faces all other SEC teams both home and away over a four-year cycle.
Additionally, SEC teams are required to schedule at least one high-quality non-conference game each season against teams from the Atlantic Coast, Big Ten, Big 12, or Notre Dame.
So who are LSU's three annual opponents?

Beginning next season, LSU will be set to face Ole Miss, Arkansas, and Texas A&M permanently for the next four seasons.
In addition to the three permanent games, LSU will play six rotating SEC opponents each season. Over a four-year cycle, that guarantees the Tigers will face every team in the conference at least twice.
On Monday, On3’s Chris Low released the full list of annual opponents for each SEC program under the new scheduling format.
