LSU Blow Out Of Missouri Not Good Enough To Get Back In Polls
The Ed Orgeron era began in Baton Rouge last Saturday night with the coach's debut in Tigers Stadium. It was a different looking Tigers football team, both offensively and defensively, as LSU destroyed Missouri 42-7.
The Tigers looked like a team possessed, and the running game was on point. LSU had two running backs with over 100 yards rushing each and combined for 6 touchdowns. Derrius Guice rushed 17 times for 163 yards and three touchdowns to lead the team.
In my opinion, it is going to take LSU beating up a ranked team like they did Missouri to get respect back from the voters in the polls to break back into the top 25.
LSU gets that chance this Saturday, when they travel to Gainsville to take on the Florida Gators in a real early game. LSU and Florida will kick off at 11:00am, and the game will be televised on ESPN.
