LSU Football Lands In Top 12 Of Preseason Coaches Poll

We are exactly 30 days away from the kickoff of the 2017 LSU Football season. Currently LSU is in Fall camp preparing for the season.  With the season looming, the preseason polls are starting to roll out.

Yesterday the Preseason Coaches Poll was released and the LSU Tigers found themselves in the top 12 in the poll.  The Tigers sit in the 12th spot.

There is only one other SEC team included in the top 12 which is of course Alabama who took the #1 spot in the poll.  Other SEC teams in the top 25 includes Auburn at #13, Georgia at #15, Florida at #16, and Tennessee at #24.

The top five in the poll include defending National Champions Clemson at #5, USC at #4, Florida State at #3, Ohio State at #2, and then Alabama at #1.

The LSU Tigers will travel to Houston to take on BYU in the first game of the 2017 season on Saturday, September 2nd at NRG stadium.  Kickoff is set for at late start of 8:30 p.m. and it will be televised on ESPN nationally.
