LSU Quarterback Myles Brennan Is Transferring From Football Program

It's been a rough last couple of seasons for the LSU Tigers football program. In 2020, they finished with a dismal 5-5 record and didn't play in a bowl game.

This year, the Tigers sit at 4-4 on the season and are only 2-3 in Southeastern Conference play. On top of that, we learned a couple of weeks ago that football head coach Ed Orgeron will not return to the LSU football program next season. They announced that Orgeron would be leaving at the end of the season.

Now to add insult to injury, Orgeron has announced that quarterback Myles Brennan Is entering the transfer portal and will be leaving the football program at LSU.

Brennan started the 2020 season for the Tigers as the team's starter before being hit with several injuries. Myles Brennan played the first three games in 2020 for LSU before going down with a torn abdominal muscle in the game against Missouri. That injury ended his 2020 season.

Myles Brennan was set to try and reclaim his starting role and compete against Max Johnson but Brennan broke his left arm during a fishing trip that required surgery and squashed any hopes of playing in 2021.

Max Johnson has been the starter for LSU for the entire season this year while Brennan has watched from the sidelines.  During his career at LSU, Brennan has 1,712 passing yards and 13 touchdowns. He has thrown six interceptions and has had 121 completions during his time at LSU.

There is no word yet on where he will be trying to transfer to yet.

It doesn't get any better for LSU this week as they travel to Tuscaloosa to take on #2 Alabama. The game is Saturday night, November 6th at 6:00 pm and will be televised on ESPN.
