The LSU Tigers rebounded with a win against Cal State Fullerton 5-3 Tuesday afternoon to stay alive in the College World Series. The Tigers were looking to redeem themselves after an embarrasing loss to TCU in the opening round of the college world series.  The loss put the Tigers in the losers bracket but LSU clawed there way out of being eliminated.

It wan't a good start for LSU as Cal State Fullerton put up three runs in the bottom of the first inning leading 3-0.  The Tigers then came back in the 3rd inning and exploded for six hits and scored 4 runs in top of 3rd to take the lead 4-3.  Then the Tigers added an insurance run to win the game 5-3.

LSU now knows who they will face tomorrow night.  Vanderbilt beat TCu 1-0 last night to send the Horned Frogs back to the elimination game against the purple and gold.  The Tigers will get a chance now to redeem themselves against TCU Thursday night at 7:00 p.m. Central time.  If you remember, TCU embarrassed LSU 10-3 in the opening round of the college word series.
