Macy’s, Sears, And Kmart Store Closings In Louisiana and Texas

Macy's, Sears, and Kmart have announced 218 store closures, including 18 in Louisiana and Texas. Fortunately, our stores here in Lake Charles appear to be safe for now. However, if you drive into Beaumont for your shopping, you need to do it soon. The Macy's in Parkdale Mall will be closing this spring.

The most closures in Louisiana seem to be focused around the Baton Rouge and New Orleans areas, while in Texas, Houston and El Paso are getting hit pretty hard.
