Lake Charles, Louisiana (KNGT-FM) - Marty Haggard, the son of country music legend Merle Haggard, is coming to Lake Charles, and we've got everything you need to know about the big show!

Marty started his own music career in 1979 and released his first song, "Charleston Cotton Mill," in 1981. He then joined his dad’s band for a few years, singing and playing guitar with him. In 1986, Marty released a song called “Trains Make Me Lonesome,” which earned him a nomination for Top New Male Vocalist.

Now, Marty performs a tribute show called A Tribute to Merle Haggard: “My Dad” across the United States and beyond.

If you haven’t been to Southlake Theater in Lake Charles yet, you’re missing out! It’s a high-tech theater located at 4720 Nelson Road. This place is perfect for concerts, plays, comedy shows, movie nights, and even dinner theater. It opened in 2023 and has quickly become a popular spot for live entertainment in Southwest Louisiana.
