Are you ready to show your Cowboy spirit? McNeese State University and the Cowboys football are getting ready for homecoming in a couple of weeks. The homecoming week is filled with a bunch of great events that will go on campus plus a few events that the public can be involved in for the week.

One of those events is the McNeese homecoming parade. If you own a business or have an organization that would like to be in the parade, you will have to get registered to be in the parade.

According to the officials at McNeese,

The homecoming parade is scheduled to roll down Ryan Street at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 27, and this year’s theme is “Rowdy’s Haunted Homecoming.”  The Cowboys are playing the Southeastern Louisiana University Lions for homecoming at 7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 29, in Cowboy Stadium.

The cost to enter the parade is $50 per float and you can register by clicking this link HERE. After the parade on Thursday comes the Cowboy's Block Party on Friday night, October 28th.

They are pulling out all the stops for that party. Grammy Award winner Wayne Toups and his band Zydecajun will be performing live for the block party. It is an absolutely free event and opens to all ages. It takes place on the corner of McNeese and Common Strewet's at the Robert Nolan Pavillion.

Then get ready for the homecoming football game and tailgating on Saturday. It's a full weekend of great events so get registered for the parade and get ready to have a three-day weekend of fun for the Mcneese Homecoming!
