Congratulations to the Cowboys and Cowgirls of the McNeese Rodeo Team! They are headed to Casper, Wyoming, to compete in the 70th College Nationals Finals Rodeo June 8-16. It's the 27th year in a row they have sent a team to this competition.

These seven athletes will compete against more than 400 other students from 100 institutions in several events, and they represent a men's team that is ranked at #10 nationally and a women's team that is ranked at #19 nationally.

This could be the strongest men’s team I’ve taken to nationals.

For those who were unaware, McNeese has participated in intercollegiate rodeos since 1947.

Zach Jongbloed of Iowa who will compete in steer wrestling and tie down roping

Mia Manzanares of Opelousas who competes in goat tying and breakaway roping

Cole Frey of Morganza who competes in tie down roping and team roping header

Colton Onyett of Sutter, California who competes in bareback riding

Remey Parrot of Mamou who will compete in steer wrestling

Ryder Sanford of Sulphur who will compete in saddle bronc riding

Gabe Soileau of Bunkie who will compete in steer wrestling

Go Pokes!
