It's in mankind's nature to keep things bottled up, to carry grudges, to haul around the past. Letting those things go is often the very hardest thing to do.

That's an idea Michael Sarver understands quite well in his new song, "Letting Go," the closing track from his upcoming album, Begin Again. People talk a lot these days about what "authentic" country music is. When you get down to the heart of it, however, country music isn't about line dancing or partying or having a good time -- it's about telling real stories that people can relate to.

And everyone can relate to the story Sarver is singing about here. While he says it's part of his "ministry" in making people's lives better, it's not a preachy song. It's a song about a man who's been there and lived to tell about it. It doesn't get more country than that.
