So last Saturday we received the great opportunity to go to Coushatta Casino Resort and see country music superstar Chris Young and Scotty McCreery live in concert.  Well for those of you who know me, I am a huge fan of Chris Young!

Well when we got there to the concert, The place was a buzz with anticipation by all who were attending.  You could feel the electricity in the air.

Well I found out that not only was I going to be able to go meet and talk to American Idol winner, now country music artist Scotty McCreery but I was also going to be able to do the same with Chris Young!

I brought my guitar which I have had several other country music artists sign in hopes that I would be able to get Chris Young to sign it.  The guitar below was already signed by Thomas Rhett, his dad Rhett Akins, Dustin Lynch, Rodney Atkins, Glen Templeton, Aaron Watson, Doug Stone, Tracy Byrd, and Ronnie McDowell.

The time had come and I went back stage to meet Chris Young.  I brought in the guitar and introduced myself.  First off, I am a tall boy and Chris Young is just as tall standing about 6'4.  He greeted me with a handshake and a smile and said "Wow there are alot of signatures on this guitar.  Who all signed it?"  So I explained to Chris who had singed it and he asked "Well were do you want me to sign it?"  I said I brought a special silver sharpie and I have been saving the black pick guard area just for you!  He laughed and said,"That's awesome Mike" then he signed the guitar.

We sat and talked a couple minutes about his music and his new single "I'm Coming Over" that he just released that week.  I told him that I already gave it a couple spins on the air and he was so gracious and thankful to me.

Let me tell ya folks, Chris Young is a class act and a great country music artist.  His smooth delivery when he sings, his up beat personality and genuine down to earth persona make him one of my favorites of all time!

My girlfriend came with me to the concert and after I talked to Chris awhile, we took our picture with him which is below.

As far as the concert, it was terrific.  Chris sang all of hits from "Getting you home, Neon, Aw Naw, I can take it from there, Lonely Eyes and even his new song I'm Coming Over".  The special surprise of the night was when Chris pulled out his guitar and paid tribute to Keith Whitley by playing "Don't Close Your Eyes".  It was unbelievable.

Well Gator Country, I just wanted to share my experience with Chris Young.  If your not a fan of Chris then I hope you become one after hearing my story.  He is a great guy and a huge talent and a great addition to country music with his old school voice and delivery.  He trully is keeping it country!
