Port Arthur, Texas Hosting Cajun Music Festival
Real Cajun music is heading to Southeast Texas for a day full of live entertainment, dancing, food, and fun. The 9th Annual Cajun Heritage Fest is headed to Port Arthur, Texas, and will be stacked with great entertainment.
The festival's mission is to promote the Cajun culture and all that encompasses it. The festival will feature great food from award-winning vendors and plenty of things and activities for the children to do like participate in the crawfish races at the festival.
Can you eat a lot of crawfish? Can you eat them fast? Then you are going to want to sign up for the crawfish eating contest on Saturday which will take place at 6:00 pm.
Even though this is the 9th year for the festival, from what we understand, it will be held at a new location this year. This year's event will occur at the Bob Bowers Civic Center located at 3401 Cultural Center Drive in Port Arthur, Texas.
The doors will open on Saturday, April 6th, 2024 at 10:00 am and tickets can be purchased online at their website for $15.77 at www.cajunheritagefest.com. So who is performing at this year's festival?

- 1:00 -- Children Crawfish Races
- 1:30 pm --- The Luke Huval Band
- 4:00 pm -- John Dale Hebert & The Cajun Playboys
- 6:00 pm -- Crawfish Eating Contest
- 6:30 pm --- Jamie Bergeron & The Kickin' Cajuns
Jamie and his band will close out the event playing until 8:30 pm that night. Go pass yourself a good time and two-step across the city of Port Arthur this weekend.
