Miranda Lambert Becomes CMA’s Most Nominated Female

Up until this year, Reba held the trophy for most CMA nominated female country artist in the history of the CMA Awards. Reba holds 51 nominations in her career for the CMA awards. To put it in comparison to male nominations, Garth Brooks has 36 while George Strait has 89 in his career.

When the list of nominees came out in September 2020, Lambert was on the list for seven total nominations for the CMA Awards. This pushed her past Reba with a total of 55 career nominations. Lamberts nominations for 2020 are in categories that she has previously won in her career, with the exception of one. Lambert has yet to win the top prize of CMA Entertainer of the year.
