Morgan Wallen Cancels Weekend Shows Due to Vocal Strain
Morgan Wallen has canceled the rest of his shows scheduled for this weekend due to vocal strain.
The "Whiskey Glasses" singer turned to social media on Saturday (June 8) to announce that he has been forced to cancel his upcoming show on Saturday at the Clarksburg Amphitheater in Clarksburg, W.Va., as well as a planned performance at the 2019 Taste of Country Music Festival at Hunter Mountain in upstate New York that was set for Sunday (June 9).
In a post to Instagram, the singer — who shot to fame with the No. 1 success of "Up Down," his collaboration with Florida Georgia Line — explains that he played a number of shows this week during the 2019 CMA Fest, got ran down and is "now left with no voice whatsoever." He says he tried "any method possible" to get his voice back, including a steroid shot, but he has seen no improvement. He writes that it "breaks my heart to cancel a show because I never have," adding, "You guys work very hard to pay money to come see us play, and I'll do everything I can to get back soon. Please know how sorry I am."

In a post to Facebook, the Taste of Country Music Festival explains that the schedule for Sunday (June 9) has now changed to reflect Wallen's cancellation.
"Annie Brobst will open the ZYN Stage at 1:30, followed by Adam Doleac at 3:00 and Lindsay Ell at 4:30," the statement reads.
Wallen was named one of Taste of Country's RISERS for 2018. He hit No. 1 with his most recent single, "Whiskey Glasses."
