The DOT announced today that it will be installing live traffic cameras and live message boards on both the East and West side of the I-10 and 210 splits. The project will include nine live-streaming cameras and four message boards.

Once the cameras are installed, they will be able to be viewed on the DOT's website 511la.org. Travelers will be able to view cameras in real time and the message boards will relay important traffic info during the day.

The $4.5 million project is set to begin on January 6, 2020 and lane closures will be announced as needed. The project should last until early next year, 2021 depending on weather.
