As the years keep rolling by, none of the NFL veteran players are getting any younger and that is true with New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees.  The 37 year old player is about to enter his 15th year in the NFL.

Last season Drew was out due to injury which gave Saints backup Quarterback Luke McCown a chance to get into the game and show his stuff.  McCown who is 34 years old was in Indianapolis on Thursday weighing his options when the Saints decided they didn't want to lose the back up QB and signed him to a two year 3 million dollar deal Thursday night.

McCown, who attended Louisiana Tech, has been in the NFL since 2004. He has played for the Cleveland Browns, Tampa Bay, Jacksonville, and in 2012 the Saints before he was sent packing to the Atlanta Falcons.

Then in 2013 Luke McCown was re-signed by the Saints for a two year deal.  Now that the Saints have inked the back up, they can breath a little easier knowing they have a competent backup for Drew Brees.
