
Throwback: Iconic Bars Lake Charles Locals Miss the Most
[KNGT-FM] - If you grew up in Southwest Louisiana and went out with your friends, there is a chance you went to a bar or two or a dance club in the area to have some fun.
You know, when you got out of high school and started working or going to college, your way to blow off steam was to go out and party the night away. The bar and music scene back in the day in Southwest Louisiana was vibrant, offering a multitude of options to see live music, dance, or simply sit down at a local watering hole and enjoy some music from a jukebox.

I remember when the legal drinking age in Louisiana was 18 years old. That was in the late 80s because I was just out of high school and going to college. In approximately 1993, the legal drinking age in Louisiana was changed from 18 to 21.

I decided to pose a question to you on the radio asking you what was your favorite bar or dance club you used to go to that you miss the most. I didn't realize the can of worms I was opening up. The list y'all came up with brought back some great memories and also reminded me of ones I had forgotten about. Here's just some of the responses I received.
