Old Lake Charles Bars We’d Give Anything to Visit Again
Lake Charles -KNGT: Sometimes, when we have conversations with other people, we tend to travel back in time and discuss things from the past. You know those conversations that start with "Do You Remember blank?"
We started that conversation the other day on social media and asked, "When you were younger, what Bar/Watering hole do you miss the most in SWLA?" The answers flooded in, and you brought up a ton of bars, watering holes, dive bars, and restaurants that used to have live music we miss dearly.

As we read your answers, the memories just came flooding into our minds, and we thought about events, concerts, and events that took place at each location that kept Lake Charles and Southwest Louisiana people coming back time and time again.
So, who did you name as the one you miss the most? We compiled a list for you of the ones that you said, and let's see if any of these on the list bring back memories for you.
Bars and watering holes that used to be in Lake Charles and Southwest Louisiana
John's Barn, which was located on 18th Street in Lake Charles, just off of Ryan Street
12th Street, which was located on the corner of 12th and Ryan Streets in Lake Charles
Frosty Factory, when it was located on Ryan Street
Pepper's, which was located on West Prien Lake Road across from the Prien Lake Mall. It was known for live music inside its cantina bar.

Yesterday's nightclub started off being located in the old Miss Kitties building, but then a new club was built and they moved in there. Walk-ons is now inside the old Yesterdays night club, located on Common Street in Lake Charles, next to Cowboys Night Club.
Speckled Pup, which was located in Hackberry, Louisiana
Fast Freddie's pool hall was located on Common Street across from the new parking garage for McNeese State University.
Fat Woody's, which was located inside the old Miss Kitties and was there at that location before they closed, and where Yesterday's ended up opening after a couple of other bars opened in the building in between.
