In a shootout, Cam Newton and the Carolina Panthers showed why they are amongst the best in the NFL. With the win the Panthers improve to 12-0 and win the NFC South. Saints did start out the game going up by two scores inside the Mercedes Benz Superdome in New Orleans.
The fourth quarter saw multiple lead changes. The last would be a touchdown pass to Jerricho Cotchery from Newton.
Drew Brees threw for 282 yards with three touchdowns.
