Pug Johnson Named The Opening Act For The Eli Young Band Concert In Lake Charles

Last month we found out and announced that the Eli Young band was returning to Southwest Louisiana in December and will perform live at the Lake Charles Event Center inside the Rosa Heart Theatre.

The Eli Young Band is known for hit songs like Crazy Girl, Even If It Breaks Your Heart, Dust, Turn It On, Love Ain't, Break It In, and Drunk Last Night. Now we have found out who will open the show for the band.

We just made the announcement and Pug Johnson will be the act starting off the concert that night. Who is Pug Johnson you ask? According to his website,

Pug Johnson grew up in the Golden Triangle region of Southeast Texas, and his sound reflects the blend of musical influences that have converged there. Following the dismantling of Pug’s first project, Slow Rollin’ Lows, and a two-year stint in Nashville, Pug settled back in Beaumont, TX where he began to hone his craft as a performer.

In 2023, Pug signed his first record deal with Break Maiden Records, partnering with Thirty Tigers, for his sophomore album set to release shortly. As part of a larger vision for his career progression, Pug will release music as "Pug Johnson", and in 2024 his existing catalog was updated as such.
