RaeLynn Postpones Concert Dates Due to Death in Her Family
RaeLynn has postponed two upcoming concert dates because of a death in her family.
The "Love Triangle" singer broke the news to fans via Instagram on Wednesday afternoon (May 17), saying, "Hey y'all, it's Rae. Due to a death in the family, I will have to cancel my upcoming shows this weekend."
RaeLynn's show at the Loft in Lansing, Mich., on Friday (May 19) has been postponed to Friday, Sept. 22. Another gig at the 8 Seconds Saloon in Indianapolis, Ind., that was set for Saturday (May 20) has been rescheduled for Saturday, Sept. 23. All tickets purchased for the original dates will be honored at the new shows. Refunds are available at point of purchase for fans who cannot make the new dates.
The singer did not clarify about the death in her family, but the cancellations come just one day after she revealed that her husband Josh's grandfather had died. The death of the man he called Papa was even harder due to the fact that he is currently serving in the military overseas.
"Josh’s Papa passed away today. I can’t imagine how hard it is for Josh being away when all of this is happening,” RaeLynn shared on Tuesday (May 16). "Praying for my husband and family so much right now. So thankful for all the Joy, Wisdom and Example of a Real Man Papa showed to Josh. Please say a prayer for the whole fam."
The former The Voice contestant apologized to her fans for having to move the shows, saying, "Family means a lot to me and Josh, and I thank you all for the prayers and support. We love you all so much."
