Saints Begin Season Against Vikings With Early Start Tonight
Week one of the 2017 NFL season is in the books and it ends tonight with a double header on Monday Night Football. The conclusion of week one of the season includes early start for the New Orleans Saints tonight.
The Saints travel up to Minnesota to take on the Vikings. This year it will be a different look in the back field for the Saints and the Vikings will be missing someone in the back field too.
Adrian Peterson is now a Saint and will be running the ball for the Black and Gold tonight. Peterson started his career with the Vikings in 2007 and during his time there, he was a voted to the Pro Bowl 7 times and was the NFL MVP in 2012.
Peterson has scored 97 touchdowns in his career and ran for 11, 747 yards. In the off season, The Saints acquired the all pro running back from the Vikings. Tonight it should be interesting to see how the Vikings fans greet Peterson who will be wearing a different uniform tonight as they play in Minnesota.
Tonight's game is an early start due to a double header airing for week one of the NFL season. The Saints and Vikings game will kickoff at 6:10 p.m. and be televised on ESPN. The Saints game will be followed by the Chargers and Broncos game at 9:20 p.m.
