The Better Business Bureau reports that they are receiving hundreds of calls from residents who get an automated call about their bank card. The message says that their MidSouth Bank debit/credit card has been compromised or deactivated. I also received this call on my cell phone. The caller ID is (877) 635-0053 and when you call the number back an automated message asks for your 16 digit account number. I, like many of those called don't have a MidSouth account but an officer of MidSouth says the bank will never ask you to give your card number, expiration, or PIN. If you have any concerns that your personal information may be compromised call MisSouth Customer Care Center at 1-800-213-BANK(2265). If you are ever in doubt, check it out and call your BBB at 337-478-6253.
