SEC games might get a bit more interesting for fans. The ban on alcohol sales inside of the stadiums has been lifted by the SEC. The ban was lifted during the spring meetings and is effective immediately.

Now, don't bring your cash with you to the next game all excited yet. Although the SEC has lifted the band, each stadium has the choice to sell booze or not in their areas. The lift also states that the sales will be limited to beer and wine only. Each stadium must have designated areas to sell, cannot sell in the stands, and must adhere to normal alcohol sale laws.

The policy goes in affect August 1, 2019.
