Seven Slot Society of SWLA Annual Toy Drive This Weekend

SWLA's largest Jeep club has teamed up with Colors for a Cause once again for their annual Jingle Jeep Drive. The club started the toy drive its first year it was active by collecting toys internally among its members. The following years, they began to reach out to the community to donate toys during their drive where they would park in various parking lots around Lake Charles.

This year, the Seven Slot Society of SWLA will be in the Maplewood Burgers parking lot in Lake Charles on Nelson Road. They will be accepting new, and gently used, unwrapped toys that they will in turn donate to Colors for a Cause. The reason the club has chosen, and continues to choose this charity, is that all of the donations made stay right here in SWLA and help local families.

Every child should be able to open up a toy on Christmas, whether it's big or small. This toy drive has grown bigger and bigger each year, and it's all because of our members and the SWLA community helping support such a great charity. - Russ Conrad VP

Since the club has teamed up with Maplewood Burgers, each donation will receive a 25% discount on your food order with Maplewood Burger. Not only will you get to help a kid on Christmas, but you can help your stomach with great food from Maplewood Burger.

The club will take over the parking lot at Maplewood Burger Lake Charles this Saturday, December 14, from 8:00am until 3:00pm. Then they will load all of the toys up and deliver them that evening to Colors for a Cause.
