Sheriff’s Office Investigating Possible Homicide in Starks

Lake Charles, La. - The Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office (CPSO) is investigating a possible homicide in Starks, where the body of a man was reportedly found in the woods.

On Wednesday, August 2, CPSO was called out at approximately 1:30 p.m. to Bud Bennett Rd and Creek Rd., where a parish worker reportedly discovered the body of the unidentified man.

According to a media release, the death is being investigated as a homicide, but it's still in the "very preliminary stages of the investigation." The body has not yet been identified until the parish coroner determines the cause of death.
