Steven Tyler of Aerosmith has confirmed that he has signed a record deal with Big Machine Label Group, home to Tim McGrawReba McEntire & more. Just last week, Tyler made a surprise appearance at the Grand Ole Opry confirming his venture into country music.

Tyler moved to Nashville earlier this year to help co-write for the album. So far, he's working with Jaren Johnston of the Cadillac Three, Hillary Lindsey, Cary and Nathan Barlowe and Eric Paslay. Tyler says that he was influenced early on by the Everly Brothers and the Carter Family and wants this album to reflect just that. His album won't be traditional or old school country, but he still wants to maintain some of that authenticity with the mandolin and banjo sprinkled throughout.

Details on the album title, release date or any specific information has yet to be released, but we are to expect it later in the year. Scott Borchetta of Big Machine Label Group thinks this will be Tyler's best work yet!
