The 83rd annual Southwest District Livestock Show & Rodeo is back y'all.  The SW District Livestock Show & Rodeo is set to take place in Lake Charles on February 3rd through 5th, 2022 at the Burton Coliseum in South Lake Charles.

The rodeo gets underway on Thursday, February 3rd starting at 1:00 pm, the trail riders leave Kershaw's Cajun Village en route to the Rodeo Parade Line-Up. At 5:00 pm, the Western Heritage Rodeo Parade begins.

The parade will begin at the corner of Lagrange & Patrick streets in Lake Charles. Then the parade will travel west on Lagrange onto Ryan Street and then south on Ryan St to McNeese Street.  Take a left on McNeese Street and then finish at the McNeese football stadium parking lot.

Then the first rodeo performance will take place Thursday night inside the Burton Coliseum.

Then on Friday evening, February 4th starting at 5:00 pm they will have the Bullfighters Autograph Session at Boot Barn located at 2990 E Prien Lake Road in Lake Charles. Also starting at 5:00 pm at the Burton complex, the Southwest District Livestock Show & Rodeo Hall of Fame induction banquet will take place inside the Chalkley Room of the Burton. The second rodeo performance will start at 7:00 pm.

Then on the last day of the radio, Saturday, February 5th, 2022, they will have two performances of the rodeo.  The first one is at 2:00 pm and the second one will start at 7:00 pm.
