The ACM Honors is starting a new award this year, the 'Merle Haggard Spirit Award' and it'll go to an artist who represents Merle's quote, 'singular vision in carving an indelible path in country music.'

Tonight Carrie Underwood, Dierks Bentley, Lee Brice, Luke Bryan, Merle Haggard, Hunter Hayes, Toby Keith, Miranda Lambert, Tim McGraw, Kellie Pickler, Blake Shelton, George Strait, Keith Urban, Eli Young Band, Florida Georgia Line, Lady Antebellum, Rascal Flatts and The Band Perry take part in ACM Presents: An All-Star Salute to the Troops.

The King of Country Music George Strait was crowned Entertainer of the Year at Sunday’s 49th annual ACM Awards. The last time George took home the honor was 25 years ago.

The ACM Presents: An All-Star Salute to the Troops will include performances by Merle Haggard, George Strait, Carrie Underwood, Florida Georgia Line, Lady Antebellum and The Band Perry. More acts will be added to the bill soon.
