The new champion saw a 15.5% sales growth last year to help this popular Texas restaurant take the top spot, surpassing Olive Garden, which had held the title for the past seven years. The new champion is now Texas Roadhouse.

Texas Roadhouse, the 664-unit steakhouse chain that has been growing rapidly for years, pushed past longtime leader Olive Garden and into the top spot in terms of systemwide sales.

That’s according to the newly released data from Technomic on the Top 500 largest restaurant chains in the U.S.

Rounding out the top 5 casual dining restaurants in America are Chili’s, Applebee’s, and Buffalo Wild Wings.
