If you are like me you have been receiving a bill from the water company and wondering how they are coming up with the price for the bill, there are many here who have lost their meters and some were actually without water during both of the hurricanes.

Here is a little good news for those locally. The Ccity of Lake Charles took a major hit and lost some of its meter reading equipment. This has lead to water bills being estimated based off prior average usage.

The replacement equipment is expected to arrive at the top of the year and individual readings will resume. If it is determined that a customer was charged for more water than was used during the period when the readings were estimated, their account will be credited. There are currently no late fees being charged to customers.

This is good news for all of us. If you have been curious or not truly satisfied about your bill, hopefully things will get rectified and back to normal soon.
