The Junior League Of Lake Charles Presents Truck Fest

Lake Charles get ready as the Junior League of Lake Charles presents the first ever Truck Fest at the Channault International Airport in Lake Charles.

The event promises to have kid friendly activities and food trucks with various treats for everyone to enjoy. It all kicks off at 9 am and goes until 3 pm Saturday afternoon.

The Junior League was founded by Mary Harriman and was formed to improve health, nutrition and literacy among immigrants living on the lower east side of Manhattan. Fast forward to today and their first ever black president Deborah Brittain who took over in 2001 has carried on the tradition and has created even more events for the Junior League as well as developing organizations like Junior League Kids.
