It's the first weekend of June and the first weekend of the official start of Summer.  With that being said, there are a ton of things going on in Lake Charles and Southwest Louisiana.

From concerts to festivals to a big benefit for Ben Terry, you have your choice of so many things to do this weekend in the area. Just like we do every week, here is a list of things to do in Lake Charles and Southwest Louisiana this weekend.

The Friends Of Ben Terry benefit is this Saturday at the Burton Coliseum in South Lake Charles. The doors open at 9:30 am and go through 5:30 pm.  The event features jambalaya dinners, a kids zone, cold beer, wine, a live and silent auction, and live music. The lineup includes Sean Ardoin, Charlie Wayne, Gyth Rigdon, and Geno Delafose.

Downtown At Sundown is Friday night from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm in downtown Lake Charles located at 1000 block of Ryan Street in front of Historic City Hall and the Parish Courthouse. Robin and the Sugar Bees will perform live.

Country music sensation Easton Corbin will be live on Friday night at the Golden Nugget's Grand event Center. The concert starts at 8:30 pm and some tickets are still available.

Coushatta Casino Resort in Kinder, Louisiana will have the Rhythm and Brews event on Saturday afternoon which features nothing but Cajun and Zydeco bands from Louisiana. Click here to see the lineup

Beauxdines located at 3013 Ryan Street will have live music Friday through Sunday. Friday night, Blaine Roy will be live while on Saturday night, Chris & Clint will perform. Both will play from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm. then on Sunday, Blake Pickle will perform on the patio from 11:30 am to 2:00 pm.
