Two Local Businesses Serving 2,000 BBQ Plate Lunches for Free
In the wake of people struggling to stay afloat with cutbacks in hours, layoffs, and closings, two local businesses in Lake Charles have joined together to help out those that might need it. LB Computers and Cajun Air & Insulation know that times are tough for a lot of people in SWLA, and they wanted to do something to help out those affected during this time.
Tomorrow, April 1, 2020, the companies will be serving 2,000 BBQ plate lunches to anyone who needs it, including the general public, first responders, medical, essential, etc... If you have some elderly at home who might need a hot meal, you can bring a lunch to them. The pick up for the lunches will be drive-thru style, and they assure everyone that they are taking the proper precautions to distribute the lunches to those who will be picking them up in the safest way possible.
Lunch will be served beginning at 11:00am tomorrow, Wednesday, and are first-come, first-served. Lunches will be limited to four plates per vehicle to make sure they can serve as many people as possible. The pick-up location will be at 708 East School Street in Lake Charles. Both companies will have their employees working the lines to make sure everyone is served as quickly and safely as possible.
The menu for the BBQ Plate Lunches will be chicken, baked beans, potato salad, and a roll. Once again, the lunches are limited to only four lunches per vehicle.
