Let's see what kind of talent we have in SWLA.  The Calcasieu Parish Police Jury presents a unique contest for our areas young artists.  Kids 5 to 12 years of age are encouraged to enter this special art contest, were the winning artwork will be featured on 5,000 litterbags throughout the parish.   This contest is in conjunction with the Calcasieu Parish Police Jury’s effort to fight against litter and a perfect opportunity to create a once of a kind litterbag design for the parish.  All artwork must be centered around the theme, "Keep Calcasieu Clean. Don't Litter."

One entry will be selected to appear on the bags, which will be handed out throughout Calcasieu Parish.  Entering is easy, just take the following steps:

“Keep Calcasieu Clean. Don’t Litter”  or any anti-litter message, is encourage to appear on the artwork. Do not put the participant’s name or other contact info on the design.  Only one entry per child will be allowed.  The Artwork must be the child’s original creation and the winner will be chosen by a panel of judges.
