Zydeco Artists Sean Ardoin & Corey Ledet Come Up Short At Grammy Awards
Last night, the 64th annual Grammy awards took place and all Louisiana and Zydeco fans were watching to see if Sean Ardoin or Corey Ledet would take home the hardware.
Both artists were nominated for a Grammy for the Best Regional Roots Music Album category. Corey Ledet was nominated for his album Corey Ledet Zydeco.
Southwest Louisiana's own Sean Ardoin was nominated for his album Live In New Orleans. This was the third nomination for Ardoin for a Grammy award.
The winner was announced before the prime time show was aired on national TV. Unfortunately, Arodin nor Ledet one the award. The winner was Kalani Pe'a who won their 2nd Grammy.
Ardoin is a great ambassador for Southwest Louisiana and has performed all over the country and on national television. Sean Ardoin has performed on the Stephen Colbert Show, Good Morning America, and sung the National Anthem at LSU's bowl game back in January at NRG Stadium in Houston.
They may have come up short but we are proud of both artists for making it all the way to the finals and being nominated. We have been following Sean Ardoin on Facebook as he has been posting pictures and live videos of all the events and things he has been doing while enjoying the Grammy weekend.
We are proud of both artists and want to congratulate them on a great accomplishment. There is always next year and keep rocking out that great Zydeco music.
