2018 Lake Charles Parade Schedule At-a-Glance
Grab your beads, your chair, and don't forget the grill. It's Mardi Gras time! In case you have been living under a rock, we have the entire schedule of the next week of Mardi Gras activities. Long story short, there are a ton of things to do this week and next leading up to Mardi Gras day on Feb 13.
Before we get to the entire list of activities, the City of Lake Charles has a few "Parade Precautions" to discuss. Street Parking will not be allowed between Mill and Kirby nor Ryan Street from 8am Friday, Feb 8 through Tuesday, Feb 13 until after the Krewe of Krewe's Parade. If a vehicle is found in violation, it will be removed or impounded at the owner's expense along with a citation. The city will have these areas barricaded off. Local law enforcement will be on hand to help with traffic control and the pedestrian traffic along Ryan Street. They do such an amazing job each year with this.
Please use the cardboard trash cans that will be placed along the parade routes to help property owners and the city keep the area clean as much as possible. We generate a lot of Mardi Gras trash, and we want to keep our city as clean as possible during the celebration.
