2025 City of Lake Charles Christmas Events

Saturday, November 29 - Light Up the Lake - This is the city's biggest Christmas event. The all-day festival will be packed with fun for all ages — shopping at the Holiday Art Walk, crafts and pictures with Santa in Santa’s Workshop, and live performances by the Lake Charles Community Band and the Last Minute Big Band. The evening ends with a beautiful lighting ceremony, a lighted boat parade, and a spectacular fireworks show. This year will also feature a brand-new Christmas Walking Parade, adding even more excitement to the event.

Sunday, December 7 - Music in the Park: Christmas Edition - Downtown Lake Charles will turn into a winter wonderland filled with lights, music, cocoa, and shopping. Visitors can explore local shops, enjoy performances, and experience the magic of Christmas downtown. The city is also encouraging local businesses to get in the Christmas spirit by painting their windows and decorating their buildings.

Saturday, December 13 - Historic City Hall for Christmas Meet Me at the Market and Ornament Workshop - Guests can shop local, listen to live music, sip cocoa, and make ornaments or Christmas cards to take home or donate.

Historic City Hall will also host a new Christmas Glow Show every weekend through Christmas, featuring 3D holiday scenes projected onto the building. Inside, visitors can explore Selfie Wonderland, a Christmas photo exhibit, and the Snow Village, a 700-piece holiday display from the McNeese Foundation.
