A plane with 21 passengers on board crashed Tuesday afternoon, in Waller County, Texas. It is being reported by Houstons ABC13 News that incredibly all the 21 passengers survived the crash!  The plane was leaving Houston Executive Airport, headed to Boston to see the Houston Astros play in Game 4 of the ALCS against the Red Sox later Tuesday night.

The crash site was in a field near the Houston Executive Airport and according to the Waller County Office of Emergency Management, the MD-80 aircraft was taking off when something obviously went wrong causing the jet to crash. Officials with the Department of Public Safety reported that only two people needed medical attention and were taken to the hospital with back injuries.

The FAA released a statement saying that during takeoff, the McDonnell Douglas plane rolled through a fence and caught fire shortly after 10 a.m. Waller County Judge Trey Duhon took to Facebook and reported it appears that the aircraft didn't attain altitude and basically ran out of runway. The plane barrelled across Morton Road and crashed through a fence before coming to a stop in a field north of the airport. The National Safety Board is currently running the investigation, to learn what happened. By the way, the owner of the plane was reportedly J. Alan Kent, and he was actually among the 21 passengers that survived the crash. Kent is the President and CEO of Flair Builders, a custom home building company in Houston.
