Louisiana residents are doing their part to end the pandemic by getting vaccinated. So far, it's being reported that nearly 900,000 people are fully vaccinated, with more than an estimated 2.1 million doses administered and counting. That is a good thing, and hopefully the numbers will continue to grew in the coming days and weeks.

KPLC reports 13.2% have received the vaccine in SWLA, but unfortunately our local numbers are the lowest in the state. Lake Charles has a 15% positivity rate and that's high compared the national numbers, according to VA Care Manager Angelo Durio

We got work to do, Calcasieu. Several clinics participating in administering the vaccine are already looking to ramp up efforts to make access to get vaccinations easier. Help Louisiana reach herd immunity by getting the vaccine today.
