Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office Formally Charges Kevin D. Daigle With 2nd Degree Murder In Connection With Moss Bluff Homicide
Breaking news from the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's office. They just released a statement confirming that Kevin Daigle who shot and killed Trooper Steven Vincent Sunday is now being formally charged with the death of Blake L. Brewer who's body was discovered in Moss Bluff on Monday.
The CPSO released this statement:
The Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office has charged Kevin D. Daigle with 2nd degree murder; theft of a motor vehicle; and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, in the homicide of Blake L. Brewer, 54, Moss Bluff.
Brewer was found deceased in his home Monday morning from a shotgun blast to his torso. Daigle, who also shot and killed Trooper Steven Vincent, is reported to have lived with Brewer and was driving Brewer’s truck at the time of the shooting. Detectives firmly believe the same shotgun was used in both homicides, however, the shotgun will be processed by the Louisiana State Police Crime Lab for further testing.
Judge David Ritchie set Daigle’s bond at $1,650,000.
