City of Lake Charles Resuming Recycling Service
After Hurricanes Laura and Delta, the City's recycling services around the area took a back burner to the rest of the recovery efforts. Now, the city has announced that it will be starting this service back up beginning December 1.
According to KPLC, the services will include drop-off locations behind the Nelson Ball Fields, East Broad Street, and the fancy green truck that roams around the city at various locations.
The city is asking recyclers to wear masks and do their best to socially distance when dropping their recyclables off at the various locations. They are asking for no trailers, no vegetation, and no construction or damage debris in order to keep the lines moving and not to fill the locations so fast.
